Gabrielle pluis
Role: Occupational Therapist and founder of Bud to Bloom Therapy Services.
Background and Credentials: I am a registered Occupational Therapist under the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, with a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters of Occupational Therapy. Over the past decade, I have been dedicated to providing therapeutic interventions to children and families, with extensive experience spanning both the mental health and developmental domains.
Approach and Philosophy: Throughout my years of experience, I've come to appreciate the importance of meeting families where they are at in their journey. I believe in cultivating authentic connections and fostering a space where families feel heard, understood and supported. I operate from a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognising, celebrating and delighting in the unique abilities and potential within each child. My practice is grounded in evidence-based principles, ensuring that every intervention has a solid foundation in contemporary research and clinical expertise.
Continuous Learning and Experience: In my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, I engage in continuous learning and reflection. In addition to my Bachelor of Psychology and Masters of Occupational Therapy, I have completed extensive training in therapeutic approaches relevant to children experiencing developmental challenges including certification in Ayres Sensory Integration (CASI), completion of the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding and developmental assessment using the Early Start Denver Model of assessment.
